what is MPN Cancer?
MPN Cancer or Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are set of rare blood cancers that begin with an abnormal mutation (change) in a stem cell of the bone marrow. Thus, the mutation leads to an overproduction of white cells, red cells and/or platelets. There are three types of MPNs – Essential Thrombocythemia, Polycythemia Vera, and Myelofibrosis.
